We are pleased to announce the EIASM Public Sector Conference 2026, which will take place in Vienna, Austria, from 9–11 September 2026.
Conference Theme:Organisation, Management, Accountability and Accounting in a ‘More-Than-Human’ World.
This year’s theme invites scholars to explore how public sector organisations navigate complex challenges in a world increasingly shaped by non-human entities such as technologies and natural systems. We welcome contributions on all aspects of public service management, accountability, and accounting, including interdisciplinary perspectives from public administration, public policy, and organisational theory.
Key Topics Include:
Coping with crises and wicked issues in unstable environments
Organisational and accountability implications of a ‘more-than-human’ world
Public value creation and performance measurement
Digitalisation, AI, and their impact on equity and sustainability
Innovations in public sector accounting, auditing, and reporting
Citizens-state interactions and co-production in service delivery

Submission Deadline: Thursday 23 April, 2026
Notification of Acceptance: As of 10 June, 2026
Research papers using diverse methodologies—case studies, surveys, archival research, experiments—are encouraged.
