Events & Initiatives
Below you can find a series of events hosted by PSAAG
The Public Sector Accounting and Accountability Group (PSAAG) regularly organises events that bring together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange ideas, share cutting-edge research, and strengthen our community. Our programme ranges from online seminars with distinguished international speakers, to panels at major academic conferences such as IRSPM, and our own dedicated workshops designed to foster deeper dialogue.
Online Seminar Series
The PSAAG Online Seminar Series offers a space for lively exchange on emerging research in public sector accounting and accountability. Each year we invite a line-up of leading scholars whose work addresses issues at the heart of our community’s concerns. These sessions are open, interactive, and designed to connect researchers across institutions and borders, making cutting-edge insights accessible to all.
IRSPM Conference Panel
PSAAG hosts a long-standing Special Interest Group (SIG) Panel at the annual IRSPM Conference. As one of our flagship activities, the panel brings together diverse perspectives to explore the most pressing questions in public management, accounting, and accountability. Over the years, it has become a trusted forum for advancing ideas, forging collaborations, and situating our field within the broader debates of international public sector research.
Biennial Workshop
Every two years, PSAAG Workshop is organised to encourage in-depth dialogue among academics and practitioners. Unlike a traditional conference, this “lunch-to-lunch” gathering emphasises close interaction, joint reflection, and the co-creation of future research agendas. By bridging theory and practice, the Biennial Workshop aims to influence both scholarly work and real-world developments in financial reporting, performance measurement, and accountability.
